    Default Change social media link

Hello everyone, I have just taken over maintenance for one of my old clients and am just beginning to learn Zen Cart so this will probably seem like a very rudimentary question, yet after searching for way too long with no answer forthcoming I'm asking.

At the top of my clients site are 4 social media icons and I need to change the link for the Google+ one. How in the dickens does one find the relevant page to do this in? Can it be done through the administration pages or do I have to change it at the code level on a page - If so what page? If so I have found nothing that looks like editing in the header or sidebar.

    The address is www.waterschoice.com

I SO appreciate any assistance. This seems like it should be a no-brainer, yet it hasn't turned out to be for me.

    Thank you in advance.

    David

An explanation of how you want to change the link and what you want to change it to would help.

Sorry, didn't think that it mattered what the current link was or what the new one should be, just looking to know how to do it.

The current Google+ link points to https://plus.google.com/106457527626302185185/posts which is a personal account and it should point to https://plus.google.com/102725090162624026428/ which is a business account.

From what I can find I don't see how to change that link from inside the admin tools and have no idea what page to look at to change the code.

    Thanks so much.

You should be able to use the Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit to search for part of that string (say, 102725) to see what file would have to be edited.

Thanks Stevesh, I appreciate your comments, yet I've search the Developer Took Kit more times than I care to admit :-) to no avail. With all of the searches done by folks looking to add social media icons and links to the header and footer of their sites I just can't imagine that it is this difficult to find which file to be able to edit. Oh well, I guess it is what it is and I'll keep looking.

Thank you again Stevesh, if you (or anyone else) thinks of something I would appreciate it very much if you would share.

Well I downloaded the entire cart and did a search for the existing social media links and the file is tpl_main_page in the includes >templates >template_default > common directory.

Just some things to consider going forward.
1.5.4 is the current version and should be considered for upgrade. If you use http://www.zen-cart.com/entry.php?3-...d-of-upgrading, you can do it all on the same server with little or no disturbance to your current site.
You are using the classic template which is not a good idea. It is provided mostly as a example of what basic files look like. It is also overwritten with any upgrade. https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1393 is a product that shows how the override system can be used to more properly build a site. I use this reference often.
While thinking about the first two reasons for upgrade, a major reason is to change templates. With all the tablets and smart phones being used today, you need to consider a responsive template. These respond to the screen and resolution of the item accessing your site. I use www.quirktools.com/screenfly to check out a site's response to a certain phone/tablet. Enter your URL there and look at your site with an iPhone 6+. Not very user friendly. There are several responsive templates available in the Plugins section.
In summation, while you are in the "learning mode", an upgrade and template change can be a win win situation.
    A little help with colors.
