removing menu items from header menu

Hi guys

I'm trying to figure out how to remove menu items from the headermenu in responsive Sheffield blue template but I have been unable to do so so far.

I have tried to edit the headermenu.php file but it all seems to do is leave something else in its place.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the menu item all together?
