Difference between the counter history and google Analytics

The counter history in zen cart shows daily figures like 25-25 which is supposed to mean sessions and total views. The figures usually over at least 10-10. I do not go into zen cart so it is not me who is included in these sessions.

However, google analytics show very few session per day and I find that more believable since I have done very very little to advertize this web site.

I just had the zen cart version brought up to 1.5 but this difference has always been there.

QUESTIONS:
1. Does anyone have an explanation for the difference in the 2 reports.
2. Just exactly what do the figures in ZenCart mean?
