Default Stamps now ShipStation and won't work with SSL ?

Is anyone else having to upgrade from Stamps to Stamps ShipRush?

The only way I can get to Stampss to connect to my site is to have it look at my site address with http://prowoodfingerboards.com/admin/stamps.php and not the https:// address (yes, I have renamed my admin).

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? when I talked to stamps.com help they said my site is fine and safe??????

I'm using v1.5.4 and Host Gator for my site hosting.

I am able to retrieve and process orders but I believe I am risking the security of my site by allowing this link.

    Advice?

I'm not a developer, but I do most of my own installs as I follow the directions and steps you offer in this site.
I hired a developer to make sure I was not doing anything incorrectly. This was his response when I told him the final outcome after a call to Stamps.com.

"1. see zencart is working well ,with ssl except the stamp issue. So when there is no stamps.com zencart is all fine

    2. Now stamps need to be integrated but have to compromise with ssl .So an external site stamps.com making zencart to compromise ssl and security

THE ABOVE TWO CONDITION EXPLAINS THERE IS SOME PROBLEM PROBLEM WHILE WE TRY TO INTEGRATE STAMPS WITH ZENCART ,ELSE ZENCART WORKING FINE .SO WE NEED TO TALK TO STAMPS SUPPORT WITH THE EXPLAINED SCENARIO SO THAT THEY CAN COME UP WITH AN UPDATED ONE. (done, no help)

IN CASE STAMPS FAILS WE CAN ASK ZENCART FORUM , THAT DUE TO STAMPS.COM WE HAD TO COMPROMISE HERE , WHAT PROTECTION NEEDS TO BE DONE"

    THANKS!

    1. Can you access your admin successfully using https:// (HTTP over TLS / SSL)?
    2. Are there any Zen Cart debug logs?
    3. Have you checked your hosting provider's TLS / SSL configuration?
    4. Have you checked your hosting provider's HTTP/HTTPS error log?
    5. Have you asked Stamps.com what TLS / SSL configurations they support / require?
The glass is not half full. The glass is not half empty. The glass is simply too big!
Where are the Zen Cart Debug Logs? Where are the HTTP 500 / Server Error Logs?

You are talking about 2 completely different interfaces.

Are you attempting to get Stamps.com functioning so that Stamps.com can download your order details?

    OR

Are you attempting to get ShipStation functioning so that ShipStation can download your order details so that you can use your Stamps.com account to pay for the postage?

You mention Stamps.com which owns ShipStation but the interfaces are completely different. You also mention ShipRush which develops the Stamps.com code but has nothing to do with the ShipStation code.

We switched from the Stamps.com coded interface to the ShipStation interface due to Stamps.com not being able to satisfactorily support their code because they do not write it. The ShipStation interface is much more user friendly, an easier install and also includes Express1 USPS account in addition to Stamps.com USPS account. One is less expensive than the other in some instances due to different contracts with the USPS.

We did create a separate admin account/password for ShipStation and restricted access but there was never an issue before or after. We have never had an SSL issue using the ShipStation interface.

ShipStation support is lightyears ahead of Stamps.com support but is webbased/email only (no telephone)

If by some chance you are using an older, saved, shortcut for the ShipStation webapplication (https://app.shipstation.com/Login?ReturnUrl=%2f)

    try this one
    https://ss2.shipstation.com/#/redirect/

STAMPS.com is requiring me to add new code to my zencart site so that it can pull orders from my site, upload to stamps/shiprush and then print postage, and then feed back to my site the updates and shipping details.

I believe stamps has been bought out by shiprush?

I have uploaded error codes/details to thread but they are being held for moderation? They are long and complex and above my head and paygrade..

I'm pretty sure those logs are you server logs instead of the requested zencart logs. Go another folder level down to to your public_html root folder find the zencart logs folder. Files will usually begin with MyDebug

Are you thinking that Stamps.com, ShipStation or any other postage printing application will function without uploading any files that are specific to the shipping software?

Unless it is changed after Stamps.com and ShipRush parted ways earlier this year, Stamps.com requires several files to be uploaded. One must be edited to include your specifics. It would not be surprising for Stamps.com code files to change after parting ways with ShipRush.

ShipStation only requires a single file and do not remember any customization requirements. I did create a SS specific admin account just to keep things separate instead of using the superuser account.

    Yes, thank you.

I understand stamps.com did require additional files - which I added.
With the update, stamps is now requiring me to add another new set of files/fixes - which I did.

I am looking at shipstation right now. It seems much easier and less expensive. I used to get my postage account with no fee due to my heavy mail volume. It appears if that stopped several months ago. Switching to Shipstation seems like a no brainer!

Now, I am going to have to deal with the issues from the PCI Scan and I'm not excited.

    thanks again

ShipStation requires a Stamps.com account during setup so don't cancel your current Stamps.com account.
ShipStation will also provide at no cost, an Express1 account. Their Priority Mail rates are a tad better than Stamps.com

Postage is purchased for each of those, independent of each other.

Also supports Fedex, UPS, etal if you have accounts

PCI scanning issues can be a pain but most are fixable by the host OR the host providing the proper verbiage to satisfy a false positive.

    Good luck.
