    Default 1&1 and SSL Enable

I did find a 'help' file on this site that gave info on how to set up the shopping cart with 1&1, but, as you can guess, I cannot find it. Does anybody know where it is please?

The process of setting up a site on 1&1 is the same as other hosts, but the location of the tools (like phpMyAdmin) is different from a standard cPanel. Do you have specific questions?

I don't see anything in the FAQ or tutorials. Is there something about 1&1 that makes Zencart installation different from other hosts?

I am having a nightmare. I have done everything 1&1 show but I am getting two different results. No pictures and no format or HTTPS:// error.

    There's this:

    https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...css-stylesheet

Are you saying the site looks OK in http, but not in https?

Have you purchased an SSL certificate or are you using the 1&1 shared SSL for your site?

A link to the site in question would help.

1&1 are terrible hosts for sophisticated sites. OK if you just want to load up a few pages of flat HTML - but they are useless for anything more complex.

With eCommerce, the most important thing technically is partnering with a host that has a good understanding of how to configure servers for eCommerce - zencart in particular (if you are using it, which you are).

Wave goodby to 1&1 and get together with a decent host. We use terranetwork. Never had a problem in over 10 years of hosting upwards of 100 zencart sites. A really nice feature offered by terranetwork is auto-backup every 6 hours. We've even had them install SSL certs on SUNDAYS and PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. Try getting that from places like 1&1...

I will look at moving over to them when my contract is up at the end of the year. But the problem is now. I have done everything that 1&1 have said and everything that zencart have said still no joy. I have been trying to add two images to show the problem, but no chance.
