Add a Table with a Product

OK a very daft question, but I cannot figure it out, find it in the book, search the FAQs or find a plugin.

I would like to add a table to the product page so that it shows the different prices per qty as follows;
Quantity discounts:
Quantity | 10+ | 25+ | 50+ | 100+ | 250+ | 500+
Price |£0.10 |£0.10 |£0.09 |£0.09 |£0.08 | £0.07

With the single qty price £0.11

Now if the single qty price changes I would like the quantity discounts to change with respect too. To understand what I am trying to say, if you go to this link and this shows what I would like to be able to do.

Have you tried admin->catalog->products price manager

Yes and no. I cannot get it to work. I must be doing something wrong.

(Sorry about the repeats of this question. It was not showing up the first & second time around.)

Try these settings ...

I have been experimenting with the info you have given, so far so good. I am getting my head around all I need to do. One thing I cannot get, is I would like to make the table active. By this what I mean is when you select the size you want, some of these have a different price than the default, so I would like the table to reflect the different discounts with the size selected.

Please use this link for reference

Can this be done?

I have also noticed that the discount table only shows the discounts when the customer is logged in with an account. Is there a way so that this tables displays without an account?

Re: Add a Table with a Product

What setting do you have for Configuration ... Customers ...

Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices
Customer must be approved to shop
0= Not required
1= Must login to browse
2= May browse but no prices unless logged in
3= Showroom Only

It is recommended that Option 2 be used for the purposes of Spiders if you wish customers to login to see prices.

Re: Add a Table with a Product

That is not how your site is working ... it is like half of it works on the settings for:
0= Not required

And half works for:
2= May browse but no prices unless logged in

I am also having issues trying to login ... my password stopped working so I did forgotten password and that let me in. I tried to change my password and now neither my old, the one sent to me, nor my new password works.

I am really not sure what all is goobered up on your site.

You might try switching to the Classic Template for a minute and see if things start working right to determine if this is a template issue ...

Also, on your Create Account is has a setting for country in there twice ... one that works and one that does not ...

Should I start from scratch?

I have done this and still have the same problem. I have left it as is atm.

Now that one I can answer; one is Country and the other is County. County is basically the same as the USA has States.

Re: Add a Table with a Product

If you are able to start over, I would suggest that ...

You will notice there are pages without text definitions etc. in addition to all of the other issues you are having ...

Perhaps starting over would be the best choice to get things working again ...

That is not as easy as it sounds. I have over 300 items on the site. I will have to back them up before I do anything else

Re: Add a Table with a Product

You could try setting up a test site of a clean v1.5.4 with a copy of your database and set the database settings and path in the two configure.php files to see if things work correctly with the Classic Template ...

If all works correctly, then install your template and test the test site with your template and see if this corrects the problems ...

That was my plan. I am currently backing up my site.
All the extra plugins that have been loaded to the database, will they be affect the clean load?

Depends on what they are ... hopefully, the clean Classic Template will ignore them on this test site ...

Re: Add a Table with a Product

Good news, the Forgotten Password works correctly and changing it in the My Account works correctly ...

Look in the Configuration ... Customer Details ... and check these two settings:

Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices
Customer must be approved to shop
0= Not required
1= Must login to browse
2= May browse but no prices unless logged in
3= Showroom Only

It is recommended that Option 2 be used for the purposes of Spiders if you wish customers to login to see prices.

Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending
Customer must be Authorized to shop
0= Not required
1= Must be Authorized to Browse
2= May browse but no prices unless Authorized
3= Customer May Browse and May see Prices but Must be Authorized to Buy

are they both set to 0?

Look at the Customers in your Admin ... are they all GREEN for Approved or do you see some set to RED?

OK may be not the database.

Both are now set to zero

you are green now.

I had set 'Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending' to - 3 as I was being attacked. I had 123 guests with several logon for accounts. Currently I have 10.

So it is the template that was messing things up?
