What, if any, add-on plugins do you have installed?

When you enter the coupon, try not adding your Credit card info; just add the coupon code and press enter. You will get an error that payment details are required, but you should also see a message saying the coupon was successfully added, and the coupon code should be shown under the box where you entered it.

payment method is NMI. i did try to process w/o the cc info kicked it back, but no discount. made sure of the code, tried again, still nothing. no other modules except for abbington mega template.

Are you sure you are entering the coupon *code* (middle of the admin screen) and not the name, which is at the top of the admin screen?

In admin-modules-order total, it ot_coupon enabled?

Can you try this on the classic template to see if it's a template issue?

the coupon name is 10%, coupon code is 10% off, ot_coupon is green. i will test it in classic

it is not the template, same issue in classic.

so just fyi, i used check/money order instead of credit card payment. top message turned green said 'congrats, you have sucessful redeemed you coupon' (that was a first) but the order total was not changed, and i processed the order. no changes in the order amount.

OK so now double check the amount in coupon admin. It should be a number possibly with a % sign after it. No $ or other non-numeric character in front of it.
