Default HOW to add weights & price in shop attributes ?

    Hi there

I have a shop that i am setting up.

The shop is selling sweets. The issue that i am having is that i want the attributes to cater for a) price and, b) weight.

For example.... if a customer wanted 350grams of sweets then i want him to state the weight, 350grams and then the base price should then calculate what the cost is ...?

Is there such a thing that i can use on my site???

    Thanks

    Paul

One would price the product by the one gram price and instruct the shopper to enter the quantity wanted in the quantity box

I still need some advice on how I can set up my attributes.

I am creating an online shop where i am selling sweets.

The sweets will be sold by weight - the weight varies...

and the price will be fixed.

    Example... £1.00 for 100gm

but if the customer wanted 150gm then the price will need to be calculated to £1.50 / 150gm

I know previously i had a suggestion that the price be fixed and the customer adds the required weight etc.

The problem with that is, the customer may not be aware of what the weights look like.... example, they may not know what 475gms look like.... etc

so, what i would like to do is set a fixed price for a particular product catagory and have a drop down menu showing weights available to them ??

    hope that makes sense??

    Any suggestions would be helpful

    Thanks

    Couple of FAQs:

Fractional quantities (not specifically attribute related, but another idea of approach for your issue): https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...nal-quantities

    Variable price and product: https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...ct-or-Donation
