Default Moving site, and settings changed?

I am in the process of changing host, and my zencart store is the last "site" that will be moved.
Someone mentioned to me that some basic configurations need to be reset after the move, but since i installed my zencart about 5 years ago, i honestly don't remember how.

Can someone list which settings might need to be checked or change after the move (if any)?
I would rather ask BEFORE the move to avoid issues for days after, while i try to figure things out.

    Thank you.

So one place that provides directions on the move: https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...fferent-server

Yes, you will need to modify settings in the includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php files regarding directory structure and database access.
Also, there is a plugin to be "run" after the move. All of this is covered in the above FAQ.

After the move, would suggest considering upgrading/updating/installing the newest version of ZC, but not until the move has been done to keep things "clear".

Thank you for that quick response.
Yes, upgrading was in my plans but i had several mods installed by someone and i didn't know if i could do a straight upgrade.
Since this person (who created and installed those mods) was not reachable for months, i didn't feel like messing things up on my own.

After the move, i have plans to get lots of things tweaked and upgraded.
Thanks for the link. I obviously didn't search correctly.

No problem, found in the FAQ, Installing Zen Cart section. :) Good luck!

Don't forget that in an upgrade situation you are creating a duplicate of the site on which you can make mistakes and not affect business... That is also why it is best to do sooner rather than later as it can become tricky to try to work from both extreme conditions at the same place... Ways around it, but just so much easier if every once in a while everything is checked out and upgraded.
