    Default 500 Internal Server Error

    Hello
I am new to this forum and know very little about Zencart. However I haven't made changes to my website in months and now when I try to log in to my admin page this is the message that I am getting
    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Can someone please tell me what is going on and how to fix it.

    Thanks

It could be several things. Try refreshing your browser to see if it goes away. Look at the php error file and see what message it gives you. That might give you a hint. If not paste the message in the error file on the forum and someone will help.

If you can't find the error file ask your host where to find it.

    Hope this helps a little.

Are you really (really?) running Zen Cart v1.2.x? If so, that might explain your issue as more and more webhosts are no longer supporting the more ancient versions of PHP (like PHP 5.2.17).

You can determine your currently-installed Zen Cart version by inspecting the file /includes/version.php. That inspection can be performed either using an FTP program (like FileZilla) or your webhost's cPanel to inspect your store's file system.
