Help needed !!!!!

Hi I wonder if you guys can help me, I am having a problem with my zen cart. I received an order and it did not notify me and when I checked it didn't record the customers order just that she had registered an account. Since I logged in to check that out I have been unable to log in to the admin and it refuses to email a new password when i use the forgotten password. I should also say that I have no clue at working with zen cart so if there is any help out there it would be appreciated. Many Thanks

Can help us help you by answering the questions in the posting tips. Such as version of ZC, version of PHP for starters.

Erm I will pretend to look intelligent and answer that as far as i know its zc v 1.5, PHP Version information: 4.0.10.7, latest stable version: 4.4.13.1

Are you able and familiar with ftp or file modification/review on your site?

Would want you to temporarily create a file to provide the php information that was guessed at above.

In your root directory of your site create a file named something like phpinfo.php (can change the phpinfo portion as desired to not allow others to obtain the same information.)
In that file have a single line with the below:

<?php echo phpinfo();

Then navigate to that by going to your site's address /phpinfo.php (or whatever the filename now is).

Identify the php version information from there, then remove the file that was just created...

While using ftp also go to includes directory of your site and identify in the file version.php what the major and minor versions are. Ie. Is this 1.5.0, 1.5.1, etc...

Great thanks but that is way beyond my level of zen cart, and I have also tried the password tutorial but again I just don't have the knowledge unfortunatley, I could reinstall the zen cart but I paid over £300 for a template which Im lead to believe will be lost if I do a fresh install??

Nonsense if done properly (ie backed up/original files not modified.)

If unable to self troubleshoot/resolve through continued forum support, may I suggest reaching out via PM or the links in the forum to find someone to help you.

So when you tried the admin password reset, did you ensure to use the proper case for the username and password? Did you receive any errors while trying to reset the password that you didn't understand how to resolve?

Are you able to access the logs (1.5.1 and above) or cache (ZC 1.5.0) directory to identify any mydebug files and the content? (Obscure the folder name for your SECRET_ADMIN directory.)
