    Default Product Copying

If I have copied a product in to several locations then want to change the price, can I go to any of the copied products, change the price, does it change all of them?

Important to identify if they are linked or independent products... If linked, when clicking on the product it changes everywhere.

When would you use independent products?

If a product has been tediously entered, toyed with, priced, provided attributes, etc... And only needs a tweak here or there to represent a different product but it can not/is not shown as a variant of another (car parts for example where a generic filter or bolt is provided) then one would/might want to have an independent product to ease modifications instead of starting from scratch...

A different way to think about it is when would you use linked products? The answer is, if the product itself doesn't change, and you just want it to show up in additional categories. Independent products are for products which are actually different (different SKUs); the copy feature in this case just saves you a bit of time when the description or other fields are similar and will just need slight adjustment.
