Upgrade---easy populate error

Upgraded my site now I am getting an easy populate error:
EP4 FATAL ERROR: No default language set.

Also can't add any new products or categories.

I made a post asking for support a few days ago but no fix yet?.....anyone help?

This is probably related to your other problem. It's not helpful to you if you open a new post with the same problems.

Ummm.. Don't see that any post made in the last 2 and half months had anything to do with the error described above...

In the upgrade, was a new/latest version of all software obtained and installed with the upgraded site?

The error described, which appears to be related to EasyPopulate v4, had that error beginning with ZC 1.5.3 I think it was but was corrected within a week or so after the applicable version of ZC was formally issued.

I am *guessing* as such the same thing and hopefully through more information (some of which has been provided above) that thread can be properly followed through. I had seen it before and visited it, but didn't have much to add with the direction it was going...

Although upon nth look at that thread, the issue is seen when the insert button is pressed. EP4 does not have an insert button... So still don't exactly see the tie between the two unless eP4 was attempted after the orginal error ...

Was attempting your "tip" and wanted to save all my products and info using Easy Populate but it has a language error. If I can fix that I will save all products with it and reload Zencart from scratch and add my products with Easy populate.

Unless someone can leave some steps of another way to do it?

You can save all of you store, and products, by backing up your database. If you need help on that please ask.

I highly suggest for you and your existing customers to follow a process like the above instead of using any version of EasyPopulate to do a site upgrade... There is much more information in the database than just the products.

It is important to always provide as much information as possible including identifying the information that would be deisred to be given and stating something like but I don't know and state the reason why it is not know, etc...

Based on the error messages and the fact that the store wasn't rebuilt from scratch, the only resolution to the EP4 install/uninstall issue at this point is to overwrite the EP4 files with the latest stable version, and then make modifications to the setup as necessary... But EP4 should not be used to "upgrade" a store. Add product in mass quantity, sure, but that doesn't address previous orders, customer login, and everything else.
