Store pickup; category/product level discount

I have a brick and mortar Auto parts shop as well as a website I would like to be able to give a discount to customers who select 'Store pickup"... Yes I know that I can put a negative number in the "Shipping Cost" parameter in the store pickup module.The problem is this become a universal "Discount" if the value is set as -15 every item that a customer orders and then selects Store Pickup gets this $15 "discount".

We sell gaskets and small parts that do not weigh or cost much to ship. We also sell big heavy parts like custom wheels that do cost a lot to ship.

We offer Free Shipping on all of our parts and we have adjusted our item pricing accordingly to be able to do this.

We also give local customers the option of Store Pickup and we want to give them an incentive for store pickup by discounting the cost if we had to ship the product, this could be as little as .50$ (postage) for a small 5$ part that would fit in an envelope, all the way to 50$ or more for a set of custom wheels that might cost 50$ or more to ship!

So we need the ability to set a Store pick up discount on a category or individual product level; Does this exist? OR how do we do this?

What about a percent discount? In that regards no matter what the price there wouldn't be a "store credit" scenario.

Otherwise you may have to come up with a way to enter the applicable discount for each and every item.

For an auto parts store this is a task but you could use the attribute system for this and add a selection of "Ship" or "Store Pickup"

If so used, the task can be simplified with a bulk editor such as Easy Populate. (Now available to not require model #'s)
