1.39h on 5.4 php? - Is it possible to admin access temporarily?

While preparing my upgrade to 1.54. I noticed that my PHP Config is not allowing me to set to 5.2 any longer. Just 5.4 to 5.6.
Now my admin is not accessible on my 1.39h site.

Anything I can do to get into my 1.39h admin?
Or is there a way I can Shut Down For Maintenance until I do my upgrade?

Select configuration table
About page 15 select to edit DOWN_FOR_MAINTENANCE
find "configuration_value" value should be false
type true & select go at the bottom

Please excuse me for asking...How do I select configuration table?
I opened my database and I see configuration and configuration group but not just configuration.

Have to ask, is there a reason that the store need be down for maintenance preventng any purchases, browsing, future sales? It is still functional, right? Other than your ability to "properly" access the admin.

I used the phpMyadmin search tool and typed configuration and I thought found configuration table.
Where I see Store Name, Store Owner, etc
I do see DOWN FOR MAINTENTANCE. There is only one 1 page so I imagine I am not in the right location.

Yes still functional, just admin not letting me in.
I prefer to stay online if possible.
If I cannot see the partial credit card info, will I be able to change the accepted payment method to paypal only?

My advice: follow Kobra's suggestion and get the upgrade done post haste. As it stands you are not operational without admin access and PHP 5.2 has long been obsolete.
