Default Authorize.net module suddenly quit working communications error

I have a website, which has been working. A customer tried to purchase some items, and they said they got an error on checkout. So I turned on testing and I get the following error:

Communications Error - Please notify webmaster. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct the information and try again or contact us for further assistance.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried to log onto your authorize.net account to see if everything looks ok there?

everything appears to be ok Only issue I can't verify the Transaction Key on authorize.net Login ID was correct and the MD5 Hash key appears correct.

In the log file I see the following:

Comm results: 35 error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure

I am wondering if it has to do with "Security Certificate Upgrades to api.authorize.net" "As part of our continuous upgrades to enhance system performance and security, on September 21, 2015, we are upgrading api.authorize.net to new security certificates, which are signed using Security Hash Algorithm 2 (SHA-2) and 2048-bit signatures. "
When I read the blog, it did not appear as if I would be affected. Thanks for any ideas.

Important announcement about POODLE and payment security

Would highly recommend following the Zen Cart Release Announcements if you have not already. This will ensure you receive future notices when posted.

NOTE: Me and mc numbers seem to be reading each other's mind tonight. At least in this thread!

Where are the Zen Cart Debug Logs? Where are the HTTP 500 / Server Error Logs?

    https://www.zen-cart.com/forumdispla...-Announcements

I have fixed that issue. Now I get Array ( [0] => A matching lookup could not be found for this authorization (CartID : 22172) )
Would that mean that Login ID, Transaction Key, or MD5 Hash are wrong?

    Thanks

Didn't identify if using SIM or AIM, but knowing that not using the latest ZC, perhaps this fix might do it for you? https://www.zen-cart.com/showthread....25#post1259225

it is AIM. can't upgrade. Try doing the steps, and it fails. The company paid long term for a hosting plan, and I can't upgrade the plan to a newer plan that supports the newer version of zencart. Checking link now
