How Do I make a copy of products from ZCart ?

Hello Everyone,

I would like to ask, how do I make a copy of my products from my primary Z/cart site and then copy/add them to my Z/cart working site?.

I started to enter products into the primary site, and then a working site was set up in the background, would it be possible for me to copy the products from the primary site to the working site? I have quite a few products that has been added and didn't want to re list them again in the working site.

I hope this make sense, and wish to thank every one in advance for their help.

It is a module that is downloadable from github (see first post in the forum thread referenced) that has not yet been submitted to the ZC download area as there are a few things that remain to be done to meet the plguin submission requirements. There are no file overwrites, and no merging necessary. The files are installed in the admin directory and it is accessible from within the admin screen tools dropdown.

If by "working site" you mean a site the only you access for the purpose of testing
Then one can create a database backup copy of their primary site and import it into their "working site" database
Just follow the settings here

You can use apsona shopadmin to do this too :) dont know if its still being updated though

Absolutely can export the database from db1 and import that database to db2 (follow the instructions of the FAQ that was provided). You will end up having a duplicate of all settings and data in the database on the second site. This also means any database changes made on the second/backup database to be lost (make a backup of the database of the 2nd location before doing the replace). But this second database can be played with without affecting your live store. The term for this second "system" is a development site.

In last checkin of Apsona, there has been some effort to make it possible to use in ZC 1.5.4. See the applicable forum page for issues/corrections needed and to seek assistance.

Based on previous response about EP4 seems though the same concerns are had, that it is too much to deal with...
