"May browse but no prices unless logged in" not working... please help!

Hi!
We are a wholesale only company, and since we started we have not allowed customers to shop unless they're logged in. Due to SEO reasons, we now want to make our site viewable to the public with the requirement that one must log in to view prices. This seems easy enough as you can make a quick change in Admin -> Configuration -> Customer Details -> Customer Shop Status -> View Shop and Prices by setting the value to "2= May browse but no prices unless logged in."

I did that, and now my site looks a bit different as you can see the store header, footer, and sidebars, but no matter what I click, I keep getting redirected to the login page. I'm not sure what I'm overlooking... does anyone have any ideas?

There are two related settings ...

I think what you want is this one set to 2

Customer must be approved to shop
0= Not required
1= Must login to browse
2= May browse but no prices unless logged in
3= Showroom Only

and this one only set to something other than 0 if you want to manually decide when the Customer is Authorized to shop after they do login ... otherwise, to immediately be authorized once they are logged in keep set to 0:

Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending
Customer must be Authorized to shop
0= Not required
1= Must be Authorized to Browse
2= May browse but no prices unless Authorized
3= Customer May Browse and May see Prices but Must be Authorized to Buy

Well I already had "View Shop and Prices" set to "2= May browse but no prices unless logged in" when I posted my thread.

After I saw your reply I changed "Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending" to "2= May browse but no prices unless Authorized" and it instantly fixed my problem. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. :)
