Point system instead of discount codes?

Hi, I am looking to introduce a points system to our site. What I want to do is when I sell a bike you get so many points to put towards accessories. I wanted to do this instead of showing money figures, some companies do like seeing it in money off whereas points is a viable option. ANy suggestions on how to do this would be great? An example someone buys a bike you get 30 points to spend. so you could spend e.g 15 on shoes etc............. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
