Featured listing wont turn off

HI I have turned off Featured listing on main page like this, but it's still there. Can anyone assist please?

You look to have a template monster template and it is most likely hard coded into the template

Switch to the classic green template just to see if the setting is respected in that template

If so, you will have to get with your template supplier for a fix

Thanks Kobra indeed you are correct, and what a pile of sh't they are! Never use one again, they're a coded mess it seems!

Just to add for anyone else i worked out if you goto Catalog -> Featured Products and expire all products there so the status is red, they will not be displayed. However the Featured Header is still being displayed. Something i shall remove myself shortly grr.

Just to add to my post i had to edit

includes/templates/theme651/common/tpl_main_page.php

Removed the area from <div id="featured_prod"> the the end </div>

And hey presto it's gone. A little but brutal, but so are Template Monster.

Too bad that you had to find this out after buying their template -
Could have searched here for "template monster" and maybe saved yourself some time and $$'s
