    email error Registration, Order & Newsletter Emails not being received. Direct Emails are ok.

    I have a new installation of Zen Cart 1.5.4.
    PHP 5.6
    memory_limit 128M
    site: http://lanterncove.com.au/
    host: uberglobal

    I have tried PHP, sendmail, smtp and smtpauth, only sendmail partially works.

    All admin emails are received ok.
    The Email Archive logs all emails ok.
    If I send a direct email from within the admin console, it arrives ok.
    I uploaded the email_test plugin and that worked fine.

    However, new registration emails, order confirmation emails and the newsletter emails do not arrive at the destination.

    Do you have any suggestions as to what I can look into to see what the problem might be?

    Do the registration mail also go to your email archive? If you can see them there, it means Zen Cart is sending them. You may need to contact your host and figure out why the mails aren't leaving the server.

    What extension does the email address have? (After @) there are some email "hosts" that do not work well for sending emails.
    Also, when trying each of the other methods, what were the settings (don't post your credentials, but do identify that credentials were set, etc...)

    Yes, the registration emails do go to the email archive. I have submitted a support request with the host to see what they say. The weird thing is that the direct email does go out successfully.. so it's not a case of no emails go out, but just the automated ones aren't going out. (or, more specifically, being received).

    One test account uses a gmail account, another test account uses my own domain email. The smtp details were as per the host suggested configuration.

    Default SOLVED: Registration, Order & Newsletter Emails not being received. Direct Emails

    I changed hosting company and it worked properly first time.
    I have no idea why it didn't work on the first host as two other Zen Cart installations on the same account worked fine.
