The cart was originally installed on a hosting and though it appeared it installed correctly, I found later that the database was not all there.

The original indicator was that no top category would claim to have subcategories. Once I fixed the database problems (I thought), all categories are now showing the subcategories with one exception. However in admin, all is okay where it was not before the database fix.

I checked and see that each subcategory lists the top category that has the problem as it should in the database. If you click directly into the subcategory there is no problem. It's only the link to the top category from any generated link in the cart (category sidebox, sitemap, etc).

I cannot think what else could be at work here. I did reset the master categories ids in store manager.

Anybody have any ideas?
