Hi everyone,
My company is based in Italy and until now I have had 2 tax rates on my site...
Priority Tax Class Zone Tax Rate Description:
1 Taxable Goods EU 22% INCL. VAT @ 22%
1 EX EU purchases Ex EU 0% Ex EU Tax Free
The tax rate applied was defined by the customers delivery address and for purchases in the EU 22% VAT was charged and for purchases outwith EU 0% was charged. Everything worked fine.
Now I have started selling items for disabled customers and the VAT rate for these products is just 4%. I created a new tax class - products for disabled, zone EU, tax rate 4% description- INCL. VAT @ 4%. On the product page I select the products for disabled tax class and the price is correctly calculated with 4% VAT added and shows correctly on my site.
The problem is during checkout and on the invoice.....When I add an item to the basket which should be charged the reduced rate of 4% VAT and not the standard 22% this is what appears:
Your Total
Total: 214,90 EUR
INCL. VAT @ 4% + INCL. VAT @ 22%: 8,27EUR
Courier Service Standard. (3.50Kgs) (Italia): 9,50EUR
Totale: 224,40 EUR
The VAT has been calculated correctly at 4% however the description shows that both 4% and 22% has been included. The same thing happens if you add an item that should be charged at 22% VAT...the VAT is correctly calculated but the description shows both percentages.
Obviously it has been set up correctly to do the calculation but how can I get the description to show only the correct rate of VAT that has been charged? I've searched everywhere for a solution but found nothing and would really appreciate any help to solve this. THANK YOU!
