postage estimator bug or error not sure

ok so i will provide some screen shots to show what i am talking about.
when i add a product to cart and click on shipping estimator it brings this page up

at the top is has a shipping by post code and should not be there and i cant remove this even though i only have flat rate shipping and store pick up activated in admin as per below.

it is possible that a addon was added in the early days of the creation of my site and removed possibly. at a guess its one called auspostcode
by memory i couldn't get it to work so removed it but seems it has done something it shouldn't have i have tried reinstalling it and removing it with out luck can someone please help me im stuck as were to look for the issue. thanks in advance for any help

Try checking in your admin that this is set to "0"

admin > config > Shipping/Packaging > Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart

hi thanks yes at the moment Ive set it too 0 so as not to show this but i want customers to be able to select shipping by post code at some point and for the estimate button to work it never used to show this info at the top and seems to be stuck there no mater what settings i change . i cant get rid of it except for turning the shipping estimator off . my thoughts are its stuck some info into the sql database somehow and wont clear after removal of add-on.

The default is for the Postal Code box to always display in the Shipping Estimator.

If you wish to override that, do the following:

a) edit (or create if doesn't exist) /includes/languages/NAME_OF_YOUR_TEMPLATE_FOLDER/english.php

  define('CART_SHIPPING_METHOD_ZIP_REQUIRED','false');

hi thanks for this info mate think im going crazy i was sure it didn't use to be there but now it is clear i had gone temporally crazy so this is not a bug and this issue/ not issue is resolved thank you guys sorry for being a pain.

You could set the setting to "1" - Display as Button on Shopping Cart
That way only when they click the button will the estimator be presented
