but on the classic green template it does show the quantity in stock alongside the options...

    any idea's on this?
It's been a while since I have run the install on a store that had existing product and at the moment I forget if it maintains the existing data table data (I thought it did, but perhaps the settings were reset), but regardless, should always try on a development site/make a backup before taking such action. The export/import of the SBA table is also supposed to be functional allowing such a backup, but that too I haven't touched in over a year if at all.

Otherwise, if you implement the code changes, then as said it is also possible to run a simple sql command to put in place the desired information. There is an issue in the repository that provides specific direction of the action necessary to provide the necessary database info.

As to the differences in template operation, the code in the fileset that is in each applicable "YOUR_TEMPLATE" directory must be placed in each of the template folders in which the functionality is desired. So that would mean it would need to be placed in the *COPY* of the default responsive template (remember, you really want the classic and the new responsive_classic directories to be clean of anything else so that testing and updates are easier...)

This is probably a really stupid question, but I really could use some help. I'm putting together a shopping cart for a candy store (www.candyland-sweets.com/index.php) using v2.0.1 which I downloaded and installed today. The lady wants to offer most candies, nuts, and fruits in half-pound and one-pound amounts. I looked at the link above (https://github.com/mc12345678/Stock_...butes_Combined) but I simply couldn't make sense of what I'm supposed to do. I'm not fluent in php, so it pretty much looked like Sanskrit to me.

Could someone please tell me how to add different sizes/prices for the items in her cart? Thank you!!

You can do it with the built-in attributes options. No need for additional plugins.

    Here's an example: https://www.roller-aus-blech.de/inde...06&language=en

You can set default values and individual prices (see the manufacturer attributes) for each attribute of course.

BTW You really should write a new post for your issue next time.

The plugin referenced supports controlling and tracking inventory of product sold dependent on attributes. E.g. if only have X half pound quantities, then helps to prevent overselling that many.

By general default, Zen Cart supports selling items that have attributes, but limits the inventory to however many purchases are made, independent of what data is represented in the attributes.

For the general purpose of attributes, may I suggest beginning at: https://docs.zen-cart.com/user/produ...tributes_info/

Then following the link in the list section about adding attributes to products.

Maybe after that and learning more about attributes, perhaps the plugin may be helpful; however, I note that if product is sold by both the half pound and whole pound that the plugin considers those two types effectively as two different product quantities. E.g. Y half pound quantities and Z whole pound quantities.
