    Default Posting Links On Facebook

    I am trying to link my website products on Facebook but when I try and do this then I get this ....

    Click image for larger version.

Name:	Capture.JPG
Views:	105
Size:	19.7 KB
ID:	16343

    If looked through the forums and found some advice from DrByte about editing the file

    /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE_FOLDERNAME/common/html_header.php

    I have done this but still the same, so I then went to my website and viewed the source and this shows ..

    Click image for larger version.

Name:	Capture2.jpg
Views:	89
Size:	18.0 KB
ID:	16344

    I have checked the file I have edited and all is okay there, I`m now baffled so any advice would be good. I am using the Responsive Blue template.

    Many thanks in advance.

    You will need to edit the meta tag for "author" in your template's html_header.php file if you want it to display something else.

    That's exactly what I have done m8 as in another comment you left for a simliar post, it made no difference, even after I deleted history if you look at picture 2 it was still there when I viewed the source ??

    MC all I want to do is change the light grey text m8

    I still have not resolved this.

    Not the recommended path of action because it involved core files and I cannot remember which one of the following actually displayed the intended result on Facebook.

    includes/modules/templates/template_default/common/html_header.php

    includes/templates/template_default/common/html_header.php
    includes/templates/westminster_new/common/html_header.php

    Have you used the Developer's Tool Kit in the Admin section to search for the files which contain the "Gray" text that you are wanting to change?

    In your site if you inspect the source code you don't have any info related to zen...in fact you've left it blank

    <meta name="author" content=" " />
    <meta name="generator" content=" " />

    But if you already share something in facebook, facebook caches that info.
    There's a FB tool, to retrieve that info again.
