Default Re: Required Input error clears all attributes of input data

It's actually worse than that. If the "required input" error is triggered they are shown a page with all their previous answers missing AND NO INPUT FIELDS AVAILABLE TO RE FILL IN.

I should mention that the Required Input is usually a Drop Down choice - the first of which is "Please Choose One"

This is not an issue in a default ZC store. How is your store modified? What plugins, code changes have been made? What has your template modified?

Thank you for confirming this is not normal - I will discuss with our developer.

I should say that there might be specific cases where such reentry is correct to do. Situations that come to mind are specific entry of say credit card information. This depends on how the data is intermittently processed and other requirements. I am not certified in any such process, but answers to a basic questionnaire should not be lost.
