Main Category Page that looks like a landing page

What if I wanted my main category page to be a single page with images of products which, when clicked on took you straight to the sub-category or product page?

Click here for example. Clicking the image opens a larger image and clicking on the "more information" button takes you to the actual product page, where options are available for that particular product.

This would allow a customer to actually see all of the versions of a product and select a product from a single page.

Can this be done and not apply universally but to specific categories?

In the admin configuration, you can tell your site to open with a category. In this case you would tell it to use 68 as the category.
A word of caution when doing this. If you view this page with images turned off, you will see what the SE sees. There's not enough text to rate the page very well.
