6/2/2017 was our last order where everything went smooth. this was a friday. over the weekend, we noticed paypal payments coming through and orders in the admin section, but no emails of orders nor the customers were getting orders emailed and the item they ordered was still in their shopping cart. ditto on credit card orders.
come monday 6/5, ran a test order and noticed during the sales tax state lookup, taxcloud was giving a SOAP ERROR. found out during the weekend, taxcloud did some kind of coding change on their back end. many users had problems. late monday 6/5, tax cloud did a patch and it fixed it for some. some it didn't. it didn't for us.
so the resolution found was log into sftp, in the root directory /tmp. there should be a directory called wsdl. if not no worries. look for a file ***wsdl***, *** means might have weird characters in front of or after. this is a cached file. delete it. and a new one will show up. your zencart with taxcloud should work again.
please reply if this helped you. i'm surprised that tax cloud did not warn of us of a pending coding change nor post that users may have issues after this coding change on their twitter account and their website. but whatever, it is fixed.
