Square Payment Module for Zen Cart [Support Thread]

Have Just received this as email from Square. A little worrying given the short notice.

Is zen cart compliant or am I going to have to stop using square for Payments?

I've had it too. See my post (8 posts above yours) after Square first announced the new API some weeks ago. It appears to have been announced some time ago, before I started using Square.
Anyway, it seems that in the UK at least, not enough people were ready so introduction of mandatory SCA has been put back for quite a while. I would think it likely that the Square-Zencart module will support the new API by then. I was going to have a look myself but like Dr. Byte, have been too busy.

Hi, Does this plugin meet the new SCA regs? I see people have mentioned it but I have not seen a definitive answer. Apparently I have 5 days to comply as must be sorted by 14th Sept 2019

Square’s Payment Form and Connect v2 APIs have been updated with everything you need to make your website or application compliant with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) -- the new European regulation to make customer-initiated online payments more secure. SCA requires that merchants pass additional information about their customers to their payments provider with each transaction in order to reduce online fraud.

You’ll need to make updates to your integrations by September 14th, 2019, when the regulation goes into effect. Don’t wait until the last minute! If you have questions about the update process, please contact developer support.

Not yet. Dr. Byte's reply to my earlier post makes that clear, I would say.
However, as mentioned the deadline has been extended because so many organisations are still not ready. That doesn't mean it doesn't need to be done but there is now time to update the module for SCA and test it properly without risking a period where it doesn't work through non-compliance.
To be fair to Dr. Byte, Square didn't put the new API online with much time to spare before the original deadline.
