Square Payment Module for Zen Cart [Support Thread]

May not be the thread i should be posting on but it's the closest thing i could find.
installed the new Square mod 2 days ago and haven't stopped trying to get it to work yet... never used square before. account is setup correct. mode installed perfectly. go to test and i have NO payment button?? or anything else that looks like a way to choose square? Where's the button?!?!? mountaingratitudedinner.org v1.5.6c. One Note, i was using PayPal and have turned it off, removed it, trashed it just got rid of it because i didn't like that it required a PP login be created even for a guest check-in.

a standard v156c install has a 3 step checkout process. you can see the header code here:

when i go to your site and try and check out i see this:

Step 2 of 4 - Payment Information

the square module relies on the paymentSubmit button which has a specific id.

you page does not have that button. why i can not say. but it is not there. and your install is not a standard install.

the new square module tells you that information in the console of the dev tools. see my screen shot here:

without that button on that page, square will not work.

Using ver. 1.5.7 ppatch1 I installed the new version of the square plug-in last night. Went through the square system for the codes. Double checked it. The square module does not show up under payment modules on my admin page, any ideas?

This morning a customer placed an order without problem in our cart using the Square payment module. I just discovered that as of this afternoon, the Square payment method fields appear in step 2 of checkout but no text can be entered. Thus, customers are unable to place an order. Anyone experience this or have a clue where to look for a solution.

Hmmmm, seem like it took them a week to turn it off because the old square module has been working up until yesterday evening.

I am testing the Square WebPay module on my site.

I did a test purchase setting myself up with a customer profile. When I paid using my credit card I got the following text on a blank page:

my site folder/includes/modules/payment/square_webPay.php:333

I checked my Square dashboard and the transaction appeared there.

What am I missing in my site to have a page appear with a "payment received" confirmation?

The current behaviour is a security risk...

There should be an error log with this if you get a blank page. Can you include the full log as well as provide the details of which version ZenCart you're using plus which of the module you're using?

Version 1.0.4 is long deprecated. For PHP8, you need to get the updated module.
