Hope misunderstanding on php ver 5.6

Hi everyone,
so i got my website works fine with 1.5.5b and last months i see that php running version on my website is 5.6.
Maybe misunderstanding i installed (last year) with 5.6 and not with 7.x.
In many platform only changing webserver (radio button ) could resolve issue, so not for zencart, at least so it seems.
Tell me that is not true please.

Are you asking how to update your PHP version? Is so, that's a question for your hosting company.

Bear in mind that Zen Cart 1.5.5 will need changes to run at PHP 7.1. It would be easier just to upgrade to Zen Cart 1.5.6.

i mean that my zencart 1.5.5b run on php 5.6, and if try to change to 7.x website not works.
i don't understand if is it fine that works under php 5.6 or could be run at 7.x without upgrade to 1.5.6.
last template (bought from templatemonster) not have full compatibilityon 156.

(so, now i need to move under 7.2, so i need to re-install and re-buy theme and re-import items, lot of work.)

zc155b, as shipped, works just fine under PHP 7.1. My guess is that your templatemonster template is going to be one of the reasons that the site "doesn't work".

You're right - I thought you had to do a bunch of changes to prevent PHP notices from being generated. I guess it is very template and mod dependent.

i'm trying and in fact this is the sh44t.
i think so.
any advice about strong good template, full compatibility with 7.2 and 156?
already made, i dont want to have so much time to spend on adapt column and rows.
(i'm searching... meanwhile )
