There are a few possibilities of the cause(s) of the issue. Some may be eliminated by providing even a smidge more of information.

Searching the internet for email settings associated with your host, it appears that the server information to be entered to support smtpauth would be to use the domain name of your domain prefixed with "mail.". Thus would have mail.yourdomain.

As for potential other issues, there may not be a domain name reference to your mail host (MX record) or perhaps simply the email address populated in ZC may need to be in the form of:
Name to be displayed <email_address>

The last potential reason is not clear as a possible solution because of the complete removal of information in the OP of the settings instead of display of the format used in each such field.
