Reporting Fake Shop

Hi Zen Cart Team,

I have come across a shop impersonating a another company to scam internet users. Is there any way Zen Cart can assist in preventing this kind of fraud occurring and if so is there a way of reporting this to Zen Cart?

Unfortunately, no. Zen Cart is an open source platform, meaning anyone can install it on their server and do whatever they want with it. The only way to fight these scammers is through your local law enforcement. You *could* try finding out where this website is hosted and contact the host with proof of identity theft and fraud and maybe they'll take them down, but that's just a maybe. And that doesn't mean they won't resurface 2-3 days later on another server...
