After updating the site, I am getting 410 Gone for some pages in the console.

However, the pages were not deleted during the updates.

For examples:

What could be causing this? What should I do?

I am worried of the pages getting de-indexed and such.

That happens since you have done what?

You are using a kind of URL rewrite. You should check it's config and the .htaccess for errors too.

To find the error you could temporary disable the URL rewrite and then check the HTTP status code for the native dynamic Zen Cart url. If it's still 410 then it's not the URL rewrite.

It looks like the product listings (categories) are all 410 while Front-Page and Products Detail Page are HTTP 200.
You are going to get far more 410 errors in Console in the future.

You can and should check yourself for the HTTP status of all products, search results and everything else. You can use curl for that:

curl -v <url>

Even though I did a search for "410 Gone" in the forum, nothing came up.

Strangely, turns out I already asked about it (not fun getting old) and the issue was with link to " disabled categories".

I was using the "hide category" plugin before but it hasn't been updated for awhile and not sure if it will work for ZC 1.5.7 and above.

I wanted to be able to link to disabled categories without being displayed on sidebox or anywhere else but still be able to be picked up by search engine

disable category throw 410 gone which involved immediate de-indexed.

Hope that make sense.
