Since many folks never step into GitHub, they may be unaware of the development that goes on and the discussions that are being had.
In my opinion it is critical that now more than ever, that the whole Zen Cart community is aware of the activity that goes on, and thinks seriously about what they can pay back for the free lunch they have enjoyed for many years.
A starting point is opening an account on Github and watching the project development, and following discussions such as this:

Just posting here for free help when your site breaks is no longer enough: do something pro-active.
My input is purely as a concerned long-time user, who would prefer to be a longer-time user.
