v155 Contact Us / Email Issues

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with the Contact Us emails, hopefully someone may be able to help!

Basically emails/messages sent from the Contact Us page are not working - they are not being received or sent (I think), I have installed the Email Archive manager and turned Email Archive on and they are not showing there. The 'Your message has been successfully sent.' message is appaearing when attempting to send an enquiry.

However, I have installed the 'Ask A Question' plugin (not recently, it has been installed for a long time) which seems to share the Contact Us page/functions - and this works fine - emails received and listed in the Email Archive.

I haven't been able to find out when this stopped working, trawling through emails suggests it must have been quite a while ago. I will keep checking, but perhaps it was a conflict when I installed the Ask A Question mod.... hopefully I should be able to work that out and will update soon.

In the meantime., is there anywhere I should be looking in order to solve this kind of behaviour? Has anybody experienced this/similar?

Just to add:

The last email I received from the contact form appears to be April 2021! I was aware that some messages weren't arriving but did not realise it was every message sent from that page. I will start checking file dates to see if I installed/changed anything around that time.

The Ask A Question mod was installed at least 4 years prior to that, so doesn't appear to be conflicting. And is still working fine.

There are no errors generated in the logs when a message is 'sent' from the Contact Us page.

Any idea where these might be heading (if generated) or how I can debug the situation?

Check your setting for Configuration :: Email :: Set "Contact Us" Email Dropdown List (towards the bottom of that page).

Thanks, I did look into that earlier. It's empty and has always been.

But I've managed to locate the problem comparing files between Contact Us and Ask A Question - there was an anti-spam thing in the module page header that was conflicting with the contact form. Must have been my fault when updating/moving site!

Seems to be sorted now... cheers
