Guest Checkout Issue

I am hoping someone can help me with an issue that I have when a person checks out as a guest and does not create an account.

They then create an account and are wondering why they can't see their order.

My question is can I somehow link their order to the account that they created after they checked out?

Any help would be appreciated.

Guest accounts are just that ... a guest. There's no way to link a guest-placed order to a newly-created customer account after-purchase.

Note that OPC gives the customer an option where they can choose to create an account upon a successfully-placed guest checkout.

I knew about the option to create an account when they they check out as a guest but I thought that it might be a good idea to have an option from the admin to be able to allocate an order to an account.
