Just wondering if I install this mod --1.5.7 last known working date -- will it still work in 2.1.0?

If you feel you really need the mod, create a 2.1.0 test site and load it. Test its operation there.
Loading it to your main site is not advised, as just the changes from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 were major, much less 1.5.8 to 2.1.0.A little help with colors.
