Default Important: PayPal Module Upgrade Required - BEWARE

One of my clients has just received this email from Nu....x and, to be honest, I find it quite offensive and a deceptive business strategy so I'm posting it here for anyone else wondering...
If you're using PayPal Express or PayPal Pro, you are NOT required to do anything. Although it IS a better option to go with the PayPal RESTful plugin, it's not a requirement.
If you're using PayPal Standard (which I haven't seen installed for ages), then yes, this IS being terminated, but you can simply switch to Express Checkout (which you should've done many years ago anyway).

    Copy/paste from their email:
I hope this message finds you well.

PayPal is deprecating older integrations, and to ensure your Zen Cart store continues to process PayPal payments without interruption, we will need to upgrade your setup to the new PayPal REST API module.

This is a straightforward update and will take about 1 hour to complete.

Please confirm a time that works best for you, and I will send you a link to purchase the upgrade.

If you are not using PayPal, you can disregard this message.

This was a mistake by our marketing team not understanding the difference between deprecation and termination. It is a strong recommendation to upgrade to PayPal Rest APIs as the old plugins are no longer supported by the Zen Cart developers. We will release a new statement.
