    Default Re: Zencart upgrade question

    Either you asked the question incorrectly, or their website and FAQs or incorrect.

    If your site is listed as
    Code:
    define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/YOUR_ACCOUNT/public_html/');
    and, in cPanel, you can get to the YOUR_ACCOUNT folder by clicking on Up One Level from public_html, you CAN create a folder called _test in that location.

    The only other reason they might say you can't is if your plan does not allow a subdomain, and that should not be the case with HostGator either.

    Many moons ago, I used HostGator and would have considered continuing until they sold their business, started pressing WordPress, and always pointed a finger at ZC or anything but HostGator. That's why I started myzencarthost, specializing only in ZC.

    Before you give up, take a look at this:

    https://docs.zen-cart.com/user/upgra..._php_versions/

    Most hosters allow specification of PHP version in an .htaccess file.
