Italian - no destination available

At italian the customer is stuck at the my account page to choose a destination when logged in.
The fields for all countries except German are blank.

At German, English and Spanish these fileds are available showing all possible countries to deliver to.

No log file available.

Seems to be an issue at database level not at the admin (otherwise it wouldn't work for the other languages either right?)
Anyone an idea where to look at?

The table countries_name seems to be faulty for Italian and ID 39
I changed the language_id from 105 to 253 and it works for Italians to deliver to Italy ...
