Inventory Item Cost

Zencart is a great product but lacks a simple Cost field.

Is Zencart going to add a product cost field?

If someone is working on this need "When will it be available"?

If no one is working to add a product cost field "Why Not"?

I imagine the users that needed a cost field have added it.

Since ZC is not an ERP but just one possible sales channel out of multiple channels, I think cost aspects/purchasing processes/profit-reporting are generally handled elsewhere in more appropriate software.

The problem with just adding a Cost field to the product dataset is that you need to add the field to the product screen to update. Now you're hacking your Zencart application code and no easy way to update cost. If you have any documentation that would explain what product code would require changes with examples, would be helpful.

In your Database just go to the products table and add a cost field.

From there use an either Databse I/O or Easy Populate to import and export cost.

No hacking just adding things
