    Default Site is not sending email out to customers.

    Greatings all,

    Zen cart 2.1.0
    Bootstrap 3.7.8

    I recently moved the site to a new host and i noticed that when i update an order no email is sent out to the customer, even though email is checked, also when sending email to customers with abandoned carts. I get an error says:


    ERROR: Failed sending email to: "customer name" with subject: "Order Update #26470" SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: customer######################:
    Please turn on SMTP Authentication in your mail client. ms.srv107.hosting_company.com (www.my domain.com) [Server IP Address]:41382 is not permitted to relay
    through this server without authentication.


    I also get:
    Success: Order has been successfully updated.
    Email sent to customer


    A copy of the updated order is recieved in the email address using the domain.


    I suspect it is a server problem since the email configurations was never changed.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    seems to me the host made a change that now requires you to use SMTPauth as the transport method in your email settings to connect to one of your specific email accounts to send emails from the cart.

    Thanks Mike, after changing smtp to smtpauth it works fine. thanks again.
