    Default Re: Easy Populate support

Is there any way to populate the category images..

I can populate the product images with ease, but I can find no way to populate the category / subcategory images..

I know this isnt done too often, but since I am setting up a site at the moment, I find that every time I clean out and reset to test, I then have to manually put all the category images in again.

    Thanks

    Steven

PS. Thanks, It installed and worked first time, like a dream , :)
(should I have said that ?)

Is there anything available that can edit these csv files once they get exported larger than 255 columns, excel just dumps on it, I imported into acces, same result, do not really want to start using sql, though i know that supports 1024 columns..

what else is available, anyone any suggestions?

I would have bet money that openoffice would go past 256, but it doesn't.

Gnumeric (which has a windows port in progress) can be compiled to support more columns, but the binary doesn't.

I read that Quattro Pro can do far more than 256 - I have not confirmed it.

The only one I found (that worked) was koffice-kspread (KDE Spreadsheet), but if you're on windows, it isn't going to be much help.

Maybe someone else can come up with more...

As a further to my post ref, how to edit the csv file when they go over 255 colums in size...

I found these two great programs

    CSVed and uniCSVed

They opened my csv file no hassle at all with 600+ columns

My next problem, is that I have lots more options to add, this is because some options in my product has 180 choices in sizes by millimeter , problem is this is in x and y, so i have to add 360 options in all, which when easypopulate exports, it will mean 360x3 because of the way easypopulate adds its own columns into the csv, so with the 600 i already have and a further 1000+ i am looking at the easypopulate csv from hell.

good thing to point out is that easypopulate seems to bear with it, and they upload fine. so its a great test

    what i could do with

is an option in easypopulate, to export, product id, name and to choose, the option category to export, not all at once, or nothing

    anyone any ideas?

    Re: Easy Populate support

    I've a new issue:

1 partially deleted product(s) found! Delete this dross to prevent unwanted zencart behaviour by clicking here.
You are seeing this because there are references in tables to a product that no longer exists, which is usually caused by an incomplete product deletion. This can cause Zen Cart to misbehave in certain circumstances.
    ????
and then it gets a second message:

Warning Deleting of product data debris failed! Please see the debug log in your uploads directory for further information.
Where is the debug log in uploads directory?

    and then onto another.

I am busy with attributes, and there are a couple of fields that are not downloading when I create a temp file on the server.

    • I would prefer to work with the price factor field as this is a percentage, and will involve less editing, if and when there are price changes. Currently it sees the price value field which I do not use as it involves a "rise per size" pricing structure - and this requires individual pricing entries per attribute as opposed to copy/pasting a percentage in the price factor field. Lots less work.

    • Sort order - I set my sort order in admin-> attributes controller, but this field does not download

Should I edit this in the database? or is that too dangerous for a motor mechanic?

Otherwise EP is helping a great deal - thanx

Steve, sounds like you are the guy to consult when I redo the attributes. Please pm me when you get the chance and I'll shoot you an email. I have some ideas, but would like to get your input. Thanks.
