Stocks by attributes

I am running the Stock by Attributes module for 1.3.6 but for some reason it is not subtracting the inventory for each attribute.

I also have SEO friendly urls mod installed.

I read all the info in the archive forums and cannot figure out if it can do what I want:

I did install the Contribution (thank you for making it) and am now testing it, however I have the same problem as many other people:

- when a size or color (I sell clothes) is out of stock the unavailable color/size still shows on the product page, people can still add it to their cart and it is only there that they have an "out of stock" message.

Would it be possible to have a check on availability to only display a color/size when it is in stock. For example:

a person would need to first pick their color and the size drop-down menu would then automatically display ONLY available sizes. Pick another color and "hop" the size drop-down box automatically displays whatever sizes are available for that color.


Another suggestion:
- could we have the contribution work directly on the product page, i.e. add the attributes from the product page and with the possibility to modify stocks directly for all (vs. 1 by 1). I guess it would look something like this:

Red:
S = X
M = X
L = X
XL = X

Where X would be a box where we can manually update the stock level at once.

PPS: I need a solution implemented ASAP and would gladly hire someone to help me out with that.

am i missing something is there a way of Sync all Quantities of all the attributes in one hit, rather then individualy, got over a 1000 products thanks

Nope. 'fraid not. But I've never really understood the benefit of this sync anyway.

I installed Kuroi's module and in the admin it seems to be working but then when i went to my website it allowed me to buy 5 of something that there are 0 of in stock!!
I do not have any option in the admin> config>stock except for it not to allow checkout when there is no sstock.
Am I supposed to be doing soemthing else in order to make this work?

Do you have

check stock = true
subtract stock = true
allow checkout = false

?

This module looks like what I've been searching for.
However...I'm a novice and this is probably a stupid question, but...
How do I run the stock_attribute.sql
and where do I find it?
Also, we run our databases through our hosting service. Will this still work for the database required for "Stock by Attributes"?

Hi,
I don't quite remember what comes included in this mod since I have it installed live for some time now.
But, if a .sql patch is included, you install it through Admin -> Tools -> Install SQL patches.
You don't need to worry about a special database, it is the old mySQL that your hosting service already has, if you are running Zen Cart.

I have installed danielcor's Stock Attribute 3.01.1 module and am getting the following error when i click DEFINE VARIANT in the Admin under Catalog > Products by Attributes Stock:

1146 Table 'realdnahair_co_uk_-_001.products_attributes' doesn't exist
in:
[SELECT pot.products_options_types_name AS name FROM products_attributes pa INNER JOIN (products_options po INNER JOIN products_options_types pot ON po.products_options_type = pot.products_options_types_id) ON pa.options_id = po.products_options_id WHERE pa.products_attributes_id = 553]

Any idea what this means or what could be done?

It means that the table "product_attributes" doesn't exist in your database.

How did you install the database patch?
