While I'm still having an issue with the User-Tracking correctly viewing the activity within the user shopping cart, (always just "Session Expired" or "No Cart Recorded") all other areas are working without error codes. I thought that your SQL issue might be due to how you are entering it. I had a similar problem but was able to by-pass it. Instead of browsing for the folder and uploading it, I copied the user_tracking_FULL_20060805.sql file and pasted it into the SQL Query Executor (Admin/Tools/Install SQL Patches) where it says "Enter the query to be executed:" and hit the send button.

I hope this helps to at least get you past this error and into the next

Thanks Tim! It worked, telling me there were 9 statements processed. I had thought about doing that last night but I wasn't sure since I know nothing about sql stuff. Now hopefully I can get it to track users!

    Yeah, you and me both!
Believe me, I had visions of the end of the world before pressing the "Send" button... The shopping cart collapsing, database erased etc.

Glad I was able to pass on a bit of experience-acquired knowledge instead of always just asking for help in this forum.

Have you set "User Tracking Visitors" to "True" in Tools >> User Tracking Config?

I'm still having an issue with the section under the heading "User Shopping Cart". which views the activity within the cart. It always reads just "Session Expired" or "No Cart Recorded" even whan there are sales.

Does anyone know off-hand which php files directly affects this part of the mod?

    Thanks

Also, in User Tracking Config: Under Session Limit where it says:
    User Tracking (Session Limit)
Displaying the latest # sessions of this 24 hour period.
(SET to 999999 for unlimited per 24 hour period)
    NOTE:
    Watch your space !
What is an appropriate number to enter. 50 was the default, which is much too small (if I'm understanding it's use correctly) but if I set it to unlimited or a higher number, will it cause a noticeable drag on my system? Or is it just if you don't purge occasionally?

    Thanks again

    Hi,

I installed user tracking properly but I can't set all the permissions for it in the 'Admin Profiles Mod': the configure-menu-item does not appear in the settings.

If you have made a sale the cart is cleared, removed, gone... Thats why is says "No Cart Recorded" as the cart no longer exists.

If they have a cart without sale then it shows until the session expires and the cart is then cleared from the system hence "Session Expired"

You're absolutely right. I noticed that myself and meant to repost, but hadn't had the chance. Thanks for the response.

As for my other question, I am still hoping for a reply.
