When I upload the sql file, this is what I get:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'true', 'false'),')' at line 1
in:
[INSERT INTO configuration VALUES (NULL, 'User Tracking Visitors', 'ZEN_CONFIG_USER_TRACKING', 'true', 'Check the Customers/Guests behaviour? (each click will be recorded)', 999, 1, '2003-03-03 11:19:26', '2003-02-09 21:20:07', NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array('true', 'false'),');]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You!!!

Zen Cart 1.3.5
Hi - I'm new to this great module and have a couple of questions and glitches.
Under the User Shopping Cart heading in admin/tools/user tracking I was seeing "no cart recorded" and "session expired" repeatedly and nothing else. This seemed a bit off so I ran an order to see what would be indicated. My existence was acknowledged (always nice) in terms of a recorded visit and my username displayed, however under User Shopping Cart "no cart recorded" was displayed, despite having placed an order.
Also, when I click on the "View Session" hyperlink, the admin closes and I'm sent to the admin login screen. This occurs each time.
Finally, does use of this module create a noticeable drag on resources? (as I've heard the Who's Online mod does)
Thanks in advance for any assistance, AND for this terrific module.
Tim
Unfortunately I've yet to fix that specific quirk. However, it doesn't impede my use of the module (except as an inconvenience) because once it kicks me back to the login and I log in again, I am then able to view sessions normally until the next time I log out. I don't know what causes this glitch but I do know, after reading through the forums on this and other modules, that I am not the only one to experience it and that it isn't unique to this module.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
Tim
Tim,
Thanks for your reply. With me, I am not able to view them. Once it kicks me out to the login, I re-login and then go back to the view sessions and when I click on it, it sends me to the login screen again. I'm in a continous never-ending loop...![]()
I can view all other areas of the admin, just can't view the sessions..![]()
Thanks,
Mr. Godiva
I don't know if this plays into it, but in the User Tracker Config I have User Tracking (ADMIN) and User Tracking (HostLookup) both set to false. (Primarily because it speeds response time)
If your settings are different you might want to give this a try.
Good luck!
Tim
I get this error too. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I edited the tpl_footer.php file and uploaded all the folders/files the instructions say to, but when I go to "Install SQL patches" in Admin and browse for the user_tracking_FULL_20060805.sql file and then hit "Upload" I get this error. Hope I didn't mess something up.If it's easier/better, I know how to get to phpmyadmin but I don't know what to do there. Help?
Hi Rebekah,
Hopefully someone will let us know whats up. I was able to get the sql file for the older verson to load just fine. But it must not work correctly with the newer files that we uploaded because I can't get User Tracking to work. Everything is showing up in my admin (i think!), but it's obviously not tracking anything because I had my first sale today (woo hoo!) and it showed nothing. I'm glad you mentioned that this happened to you too because I thought it was just me!

:)
While I'm still having an issue with the User-Tracking correctly viewing the activity within the user shopping cart, (always just "Session Expired" or "No Cart Recorded") all other areas are working without error codes. I thought that your SQL issue might be due to how you are entering it. I had a similar problem but was able to by-pass it. Instead of browsing for the folder and uploading it, I copied the user_tracking_FULL_20060805.sql file and pasted it into the SQL Query Executor (Admin/Tools/Install SQL Patches) where it says "Enter the query to be executed:" and hit the send button.
I hope this helps to at least get you past this error and into the next![]()
