I eventually figured it out, i have read and re-read the numerous posts on this topic and found that there are tons more who have this problem, the concensus among the users who've offered help to us with the sitemap problem always advocate that you copy and paste the sql file in admin/sql patches. This is what i had done and everybody else too i suspect, but it never worked out right.

What i did to get it working was to UPLOAD the sql file instead, generated my sitemap and hey presto it worked, all 3 sitemap_xml were created including all urls.. SO anyone who just can't get the google sitemap to work using all recommended methods, PLEASE, PLEASE UPLOAD THE FILE THROUGH ADMIN AND TRY AGAIN, IT WILL WORK.....

Thanks all for your help anyway..

    Regards

by the way, there is a simple way to resolve the warnings you get from google in regards to all pages having the same priority, just open the xml files and change 1 or 2 pages priority to a number between 0.0 & 1.0 before you upload them to google, then proceed to ping the search engines, you should not have any warnings then

    hope this helps

    Hello people,

I asked a question by opening a new thread but I haven't got any replies so I guess this is a better place to as kmy question again. I create an xml sitemap from google xml sitemap module but when I check the urls in the sitemap I find out that most of them go to a page that says "Sorry, the items was not found." and none of them actualy goes to a webpage with any products. Is this correct or am I doing somethign wrong?

    Thanks in advance,

    Yiannis.

Why does it not display my product review? This is the link that simple seo urls module creates for a specific product review

    http://bionaturaldrops.com/product_r...s/reviews_id/7

this is the url for the product reviews

    http://bionaturaldrops.com/reviews

The second works but the first doesn't work.

    Do you have any siggestions?

Create a robots.txt and put it in your store directory.

See this thread for more info.

Someone asked about this same problem I'm having but we never got a reply. Installation went smooth and the sitemap gets generated with no problems. The only problem is the ezpages sitemap. It keeps coming up as an empty file. Here is the message:

    "sitemapezpages.xml OK! Written 0 records, 0 bytes
Generated Google EZPages Sitemap Successfully - "

I have about 12 ezpages that I created so why are these not getting indexed into the sitemapezpages.xml?

Is there a certain ezpage configuration that I need to do for the sitemap to work? Thanks.

Check your settings in Admin->Configurations->Google XML Sitemap:
    EZPages Header
    EZPages Sidebox
    EZPages Footer

    application error sitemap configuration puzzle

    hi, there

i've just installed this add-on on my local testing site and now got 2 problems:

1st: i can't find a sub-menu 'google xml sitemap' under tools menu, it only appears under configuration tab, why and how to deal?

2dn: my local site is under a directory named 'store', how can i rename the 'your_domain' directory name just under the unzipped downloaded pack for when i input a directory name with '/', Windows would not allow!

    all the best for you
    david
