Cross Sell

I am replying to this post because I can't figure this new site out and how to post a new message. Plus the posts that I want to reply to won't let me.

I installed Cross Sell into version 1.3, then found the Sidebox addition and installed it. The sidebox does work, but the regular Cross Sell box still shows up below my product description. When I remove the code suggested in the x-sell sidebox readme, they both disappear!

HOW DO I keep the sidebox, but get rid of the one under my product description?! I need to know ASAP. My site goes live next week!

I'm guessing, but I reckon you've removed more than you should have done from your product_info_display.php.... did you perhaps take away a php end tag?

This is the end of my product_info_display.php file:

I only added the first 9 lines cut and pasted straight from the SAMPLE_ADDITION_TO_tpl_product_info_display_TEMPLATE.php file which was provided with Cross Sell. Like I said earlier, if I remove this like it suggests in the x-sell install instructions, both my sidebox and the box under my product disappear.

ambook - try replacing your tpl_product_info_display.php with the original from template_default; if the sidebox now displays, then you know you've made an error somewhere. If it doesn't, all I can suggest is to go through the complete installation process again.

aspudden - yes it should. It should be working for ambook, because it works for others on 1.3

When i try to run the sql patch.. im doing it manually btw.. iwa s able to execute the first portion.. but when i try to execture the second portion.. it returns an error which says:

"1062 Duplicate entry 'MAX_DISPLAY_XSELL' for key 2"

wat do i do?

I've installed the basic Cross Sell add-on and can't get it to work at all. It's all set up in the admin area, I can cross sell products, etc. but on the Front End, it doesn't show up!

im having the reverse problem, I installed cross sell and it was working ok, however the client wants this remove for now. I removed the php code on the product info page and removed the cross sell items for a set product and yet it still shows up.

How do i remove it fully when I have already removed the php files and changed the cross sell in admin ... ?

Hello,

I want to implement the Cross Sell for the latest version of Zen Cart 1.3.7.

When I try to install the availabe Cross Sell, which is for version 1.3.1.

I get the following error:

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'true','false'), ', now())' at line 1
in:
[INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added) VALUES ('Cross-Sell - Display prices?', 'XSELL_DISPLAY_PRICE', 'false', 'Cross-Sell -- Do you want to display the product prices too?
Default: false', 18, 72, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array('true','false'), ', now());]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Can anyone help me in this matter?

I really need to implement this. Any help would be appreciated.
